What is Made in London?
Made in London is the only business led, business focused organisation that represents the wide and varied manufacturing sectors across London.
Made in London was officially launched by the Mayor of London Ken Livingstone MP, on the 28th November 2000. Made in London was built on the past success of the London Manufacturing Group which had already campaigned on behalf of London manufacturers for five years.
What does Made in London do?
Made in London is the voice of London’s manufacturers. It aims to raise the profile of the manufacturing sector in London, brings together like minded manufacturers in networking opportunities and represent London’s manufacturers in the corridors of power at both London and national level.
Made in London also has access to a number of Government grant initiatives and provides grass roots funding to the manufacturing sector helping to address the real issues of running a manufacturing business in London.
Who are the members?
Made in London is a partnership of other business organisations which have a particular interest in London’s manufacturing sector.
The lead Partner is the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry which has been responsible for funding Made in London. Other partners are the Confederation of British Industry London (CBI London), Engineering Employers Federation South (EEF South), London First, Institute of Export, Print Industry Research Association (PIRA), South London Manufacturers (SOLOMAN), North London Manufacturers Action Group (NLMAG), Thames Gateway Manufacturers Action Group (TGMAG), South London Export Club and Winning in Business.
The partners are the members of Made in London and have representatives that attend Council. All their manufacturing members benefit from Made in London services.
However if you are a manufacturer with no affiliation with any of these organisations we still may be able to help you.
